Metro Closures. There will be no service south of National Airport between September 10 and October 22; additionally, from September 10 until spring 2023, there will be no Yellow Line service between Pentagon and L’Enfant Plaza. Flood Insurance. Alexandria’s flood mitigation efforts entitle residents of special hazard areas (such as those proximate to Hoofs Run in Rosemont) to discounts on flood insurance. Athletic Lights. In July, the Parks and Recreation Commission endorsed plan to install lights at six fields in the City, including GW Middle School.
