RCA Updates (December 2017)

Meeting Round-Up. A summary of the RCA’s December 11 meeting:
- Captain Williams of the Sheriff’s Office provided a presentation on Project Lifesaver (https://projectlifesaver.org).
- Lieutenant Bailey of the Alexandria Police Department provided an update, including about the APD’s traffic safety plan (https://www.alexandriava.gov/uploadedFiles/tes/info/APD%20Traffic%20Safety%20Plan%20Draft%20Final.pdf) and a seasonal reminder about theft prevention (https://www.alexandriava.gov/uploadedfiles/police/info/package%20thefts.pdf).
- Rod Simmons, the City’s Natural Resources Manager, provided a presentation on the City’s “green infrastructure”; some links of interest include the City’s overall Natural Resources page (http://alexandriava.gov/48838), a survey of Alexandria’s flora (http://alexandriava.gov/22560), and a geologic atlas of the City (http://alexandriava.gov/89974).
