Fourth of July. Although the state’s pandemic restrictions mostly have been lifted, out of an abundance of caution (and because masks are still required on school property), there will not be a Fourth of July event this year – but we look forward to seeing neighbors at the renamed Naomi L. Brooks Elementary School in 2022.

Brooks Elementary. Speaking of the school – for a video of the renaming ceremony on June 22, please visit https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?v=762252511120421.

Stormwater Committee. The City’s “Ad Hoc Stormwater Utility and Flood Mitigation Advisory Group” – which includes a delegate from Rosemont, John Hill – held its first meeting on June 10.  For a copy of the meeting agenda/presentation, and a full recording, please visit https://www.alexandriava.gov/tes/stormwater/info/default.aspx?id=122418.

Keeping Informed. We try to provide regular updates on local news, Rosemont history, and general happenings in the neighborhood and Alexandria via our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/RosemontCitizensAssociation) and general resources on our web page (http://rosemontcitizensassoc.org). The independent community email list can be accessed at https://groups.io/g/rosemontva.
