Next RCA Meeting. The RCA will hold an in-person meeting on Tuesday, May 3 at the Commonwealth Baptist Church (700 Commonwealth Avenue) at 7:30pm. Our guests will be Delegate Elizabeth Bennett-Parker and Senator Adam Ebbin to provide an update on the recent state legislative session. Additionally, we will have updates on other pending issues and hold a pandemic-delayed election for the board. The current board plan to stand again, but new members are welcome; additionally, we propose to add Dana Lawhorne as our representative to the city for infrastructure issues.
Mount Vernon Parking. Last month, the Traffic Board approved a revised plan for the addition of parking on the east side of the 500 block of Mount Vernon Avenue – a traffic calming measure requested by residents and previously publicized by the RCA. As now modified/installed, there is a space for bike/scooter parking and four motor vehicle spaces.
