July Fourth. Thanks to all who attended and sponsored our annual Fourth of July celebration at Brooks Elementary. The Zebra has posted a selection of photos from the event.
King/Russell/Callhan. Construction on the reconfiguration of the intersection (which has been in various stages of planning since 2015) is actually scheduled to start next month. A report to the City’s Traffic Board about the project is attached. More information is available at the project website.
PELT Update. An update from the PELT committee about stormwater issues is attached. The City’s planned zoning/housing changes – which the committee is continuing to monitor – were discussed in a recent article in the Alexandria Times.
Membership Update. As of July 1, 2023, we have revised our approach towards membership to consider all individuals living within the boundaries the RCA to be members and represented by the RCA. The RCA is a 100% volunteer organization and depends on neighborhood support for its operations. Donate to RCA!
