Coronavirus Information. For updates from the City, please visit https://www.alexandriava.gov/Coronavirus. As of April 24, 575 cases and 18 fatalities in the City have been reported.
Yard Waste. Although the City has suspended the curbside collection of yard waste, drop-offs are being accepted at the City’s leaf processing yard (4251 Eisenhower Avenue) on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 8am to 2pm. For more information, please visit https://www.alexandriava.gov/tes/solidwaste/info/default.aspx?id=114933.
King/Callahan/Russell Signals. The signal hardware at the intersection of King Street, Callahan Drive, and Russell Road has reached the end of its useful life and is in need of reconstruction. This work was originally scheduled to be completed during the grant-funded reconfiguration of the intersection, but is now going to be completed separately from the project. This will not, however, preclude future work on the intersection. For more information, please visit https://www.alexandriava.gov/localmotion/info/default.aspx?id=77933.
Fourth of July. Unfortunately, because it is unclear what the situation of the world will be in a couple of months, we are not expecting to hold an Independence Day event this year.
