Holiday Decorations. Congratulations to the winners of our first annual contest, organized by Dana Lawhorne (who is the Sheriff in his spare time) and judged by a panel of local luminaries.  The winners are:

* First Place –  2 West Oak
* Second Place – 101 East Oak
* Third Place – 19 West Maple
* Honorable Mention – 301 Commonwealth Avenue

Congratulations to the winners and all who were nominated, and thank you to the sponsors for the prizes – Christine Garner of Weichert Realtors; Lena’s Wood-Fired Pizza; and Chick-Fil-A (owned by Rosemont neighbor George Demetriades). We look forward to making this a recurring event. For photos, please visit https://rosemontcitizensassoc.org/2020-rca-holiday-home-decorating-contest/.

King-Russell-Callahan Intersection. At its December 21 meeting, the Traffic and Parking Board endorsed a staff recommendation of “Option 4” for improvements to the intersection. The project is primarily intended to enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety, but lane reconfiguration intended to improve traffic flow is also included. Approval by City Council will be required for certain elements, but construction is expected to start in spring 2021. Food Trucks. We’ve had to delay the planned event to ensure compliance with permitting requirements for both the truck and the location – updates will be circulated once we disentangled the issues.

Linden Truck Restrictions. On November 16, the Traffic and Parking Board voted to recommend to the City Council that “no through truck” restrictions be imposed on the unit block and 100 block of East Linden Street. The issue does not yet appear to have been scheduled for a Council vote.
