2024 RCA Officer Elections and Annual Meeting

* NOTE: The information below includes new information about voting procedures and other updates since the previous RCA election information was shared in late June.

The Rosemont Citizens Association will hold elections for all officer positions at 7:00 PM on September 18, 2024 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

All individuals currently residing or owning property within the Rosemont Citizens Association boundaries (map is on the website) are considered members of RCA.

Each RCA member 18 years or older in attendance at the September annual meeting is entitled to one vote.

Voting will take place on a printed ballot. A voting committee will count the votes and announce the winners.

If you are interested in being considered for an RCA officer position, please send a personal statement and the officer position of interest to Derry Deringer at deringer3@gmail.com by August 15, 2024.

Only members can run for an RCA office. Please note that candidates can only run for one position.

Each candidate, including current RCA officers seeking a future position, is asked to write a brief personal statement (100 words or less) that will serve as their candidate profile. The personal statement should include why you wish to serve as an RCA officer and why you believe you would be a good fit for the officer position.

Candidate profiles will be distributed through the typical RCA communications channels: Rosemont Group listserv, the RCA website, the RCA newsletter, and social media before the annual meeting so the community can consider the candidacies.

We plan to hold a short meet-and-greet at the beginning of the annual meeting to allow the community to chat with the candidates and ask questions.

Officers will serve two-year terms. Elections will be held every two years at the RCA annual meeting in September. Newly elected officers will assume their new roles immediately following the annual meeting.

The current RCA officers are:

President – Jol Silversmith

1st Vice-President – Karla Springer

2nd Vice-President – Garrett Erdle

Secretary – John Leary

Treasurer – Dina-Maria Deringer

Garrett Erdle and Karla Springer are not seeking future officer positions.

If you are interested in being considered for an RCA officer position, please send a personal statement and the officer position of interest to Derry Deringer at deringer3@gmail.com by August 15, 2024.

Oktoberfest

The RCA hopes to revive its annual tradition of holding an Oktoberfest event (consistent with German practice) at the end of September.  There is still planning to be done, but we hope to announce more information (and ask for volunteers) soon.
